Visits / Accompanying persons - Regulation due to coronavirus

Even after 1. April 2022 mask requirement will remain in effect at the Zuger Kantonsspital and special rules for patient visits and accompanying persons will continue to apply until further notice.

The protection of our patients and employees against Covid-19 has top priority. We therefore ask you to comply with the following visiting regulations and protective measures. Thank you for your understanding.

Visits from inpatients

• Maximum 2 visitors per patient
• In the single and double room: maximum 2 visitors at the same time
• In the 4-bed room: maximum 4 visitors at the same time
• Covid-19 patients may be visited only in consultation with the nursing staff

Accompanying persons for outpatients

• 2 accompanying person per patient is allowed

Exception rules

• Individual regulations apply in the intensive care unit, in the emergency center, in the postpartum ward as well as for children under 16 years of age and dying people in consultation with the responsible nursing staff

Protective measures to be observed by patients, visitors and external persons

• Masks must be worn throughout the hospital, also applies in the patient's room (children under 7 years for age are excluded)
• Disinfect your hands before entering and leaving the hospital
• Please keep a distance of at least 1.5 metres to other people whenever possible
• If you feel ill or if you have tested positive for the coronavirus we kindly ask you not to enter the hospital.
