Appointment booking Corona test

You are healthy and need the test for a planned trip or for another reason. The test is by appointment only (no Walk-in) and is subject to a fee depending on the test type/scope. Please read the following information and then register for an appointment. Thank you. Please note that we only perform PCR tests or rapid antigen tests and not antibody tests.

ATTENTION: In case of Covid-19 symptoms we ask you to register exclusively via the blue box "COVID-19 SYMPTOMS / COVID-APP / ORDER OF THE CANTONAL PHYSICIAN, see at www.zgks.ch/testcenter

Monday to Friday, from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and 1.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and 1.00 to 3.00 p.m.

Testing costs*

• PCR test: CHF 140
• Rapid antigen test (test certificate in German and English, without identity card or passport number): CHF 0
• Rapid antigen test, in addition to the test certificate in German and English travel certificate/laboratory result with identity card/passport number: CHF 20

*Payment on site, if possible with EC card, credit card, or Twint, otherwise cash. In certain cases, the federal government covers the costs of the tests. Information on this can be found on the FOPH website.

Please note

• With online appointment booking only (no walk-in)
• If you need a PCR and a rapid antigen test for your trip, please book 2 appointments (one for the PCR and one for the rapid antigen test)
• No PCR test or rapid test due to quarantine
• Covid-19 nasopharyngeal swab only (PCR test or rapid antigen test, no antibody testing*).
• No personal medical examination and evaluation
• Children and teenagers from the age of 8 (up to the age of 16 only accompanied by a legal guardian or with their written consent)
• Admission exclusively with surgical mask (exception: medically certified exemption from the mask requirement)
• Covid certificate: Please inform us if you would like a certificate (tick on the form). It will then be sent by e-mail together with the test result
• Current information on quarantine for people entering Switzerland can be found on the website of the FOPH

*To have an antibody test done, please contact your general practitioner or a pharmacy that does them (see website Pharmacy antibody test).

Please bring along

• Completed form for COVID-19 test; if you cannot download or fill in the form, it can also be filled in at the test centre
• Identity card or passport
  Important: If the number of your identity card or passport must be noted on the travel certificate, please bring the original document with you and be sure to hand it in together with the completed form when registering on site, otherwise the ID number will not be noted on the certificate. Copies will not be accepted.
• Health insurance card
• Children and teenagers up to the age of 16 require the signature of a legal guardian, unless they are accompanied by that person
• Payment on site, if possible with EC card, credit card, or Twint, otherwise cash, see testing costs above under «testing costs»
• If you are legally entitled to a free test, please bring the original certificates with you. Persons without a European insurance card must pay the test costs directly on site despite their legal entitlement to a free test.

Preparation
If possible, please fill out the form (personal details, possible coronavirus symptoms, etc.) in advance and bring it with you. This will help to make the process more efficient. If this is not possible, you will receive a form at the Corona Testcenter to fill out before the test. 

Test result/Covid certificate
The test result is sent directly by the laboratory to the tested person by e-mail and/or SMS; for the rapid test within about 2 hours (in advance by SMS, later by email , for the PCR test usually within 48 hours by email. If you have applied for a Covid certificate, you will receive this also by mail together with the test result.

If you do not receive your result resp. the Covid certificate within 2 hours (rapid test) or 48 hours (PCR test), please proceed as follows:

• First check the spam folder of your e-mail account.
• If the e-mail with the test result cannot be found, you can contact us during the officehours: phone +41 41 399 43 27 (exclusively for enquiries about missingtest resultsand Covid certificates)
