Do pregnancy check-ups take place as usual?
Pregnancy check-ups take place at the usual intervals as agreed with your gynaecologist.
Except: If you experience any respiratory symptoms (e.g. cough, sniffles, sore throat, shortness of breath) or if you have a fever, if you feel feverish, if you have aching limbs or if you experience a sudden loss of taste or smell, we kindly ask you to contact us beforehand. Thank you.
Will I be able to give birth at the Zuger Kantonsspital as planned?
Yes, all births take place as normal. Your health and your child's health are our top priority. We have taken every possible precaution to ensure that you can give birth to your child in a safe environment.
Can my partner be with me during the birth?
Yes, your partner may stay with you throughout the delivery provided he is healthy, i.e. does not have Covid-19 symptoms (cough, cold, sore throat, shortness of breath, headache, fever/feverish sensation, pain in the limbs or sudden loss of the sense of taste or smell etc.) and has not been tested positive for the coronavirus. This also applies if a caesarean section is necessary.
