Mit dem Upgrade «Geburt Special» geniessen Sie die Zeit nach der Geburt in unserem Familienzimmer oder alternativ in einem Zimmer zur Alleinbenutzung. Informieren Sie Ihre Hebamme, wenn Sie das Upgrade «Geburt Special» gerne buchen möchten und lassen Sie Ihre Reservation vormerken. Da sich Geburtstermine kaum voraussagen lassen, können wir Ihnen erst bei Spitaleintritt bestätigen, ob das Familienzimmer oder ein Zimmer zur Alleinbenutzung verfügbar ist.

Sie möchten das Wochenbett direkt nach der Geburt (ambulante Geburt) oder bereits nach ein bis zwei Tagen zu Hause verbringen? Gerne beraten wir Sie beim Aufnahmegespräch mit der Hebamme zirka vier Wochen vor der Geburt über die Möglichkeiten.

• Zur Linderung der Wehenschmerzen setzen wir Methoden wie Zäpfchen, Tabletten oder Spritzen ein. Ausserdem bieten wir verschiedene alternativmedizinische Behandlungen wie Homöopathie, Akupunktur, Aromaöle und Tee an.

Bei Bedarf besteht auch die Möglichkeit, eine rückenmarknahe Regionalanästhesie zu erhalten. Informationsblatt zur Regionalanästhesie während der Geburt.

Auf Wunsch des Paares oder bei medizinischer Indikation können wir jederzeit einen Kaiserschnitt durchführen.

Gleich nach der Geburt fördern wir durch ungestörte Nähe, körperliche Wärme und Augenkontakt das Zusammensein und den Aufbau einer innigen Beziehung zwischen Eltern und Baby.

Unmittelbar nach der Geburt werden Sie von der Hebamme unterstützt, damit Sie ohne Verzögerung mit dem Stillen beginnen können.

• Erfolgreich stillen

Üblicherweise wird Ihr Kind in den ersten 3 Tagen nach der Geburt von einem Kinderarzt oder einer Kinderärztin untersucht. Anschliessend informiert Sie der Kinderarzt oder die Kinderärztin über das Untersuchungsergebnis und beantwortet Ihre Fragen.

• Medizinische Untersuchungen des Babys

Häufig dauert es Tage oder Wochen, bis das Geburtserlebnis und der Geburtsverlauf verarbeitet sind. Möchten Sie Fragen klären oder Belastendes verarbeiten? Gerne bieten wir Ihnen ein persönliches Nachgespräch mit einer unserer Hebammen an.

Are you considering an outpatient birth or an early postpartum discharge? We will of course be happy to accommodate this. Our midwives would be happy to advise you about the available care options at the admission interview about four weeks before the calculated date of birth.

• Modern and appealing delivery suites with an integrated bathtub

With the "More Privacy" upgrade, parents and baby enjoy the time after birth in our family suite or alternatively in a private room if the family suite is already occupied. Spouses may also stay the night with their new family and share the very close and intensive experience of the first few days, for an additional charge. Older siblings are also welcome to stay in the family suite.

Please inform your midwife if you would like to book the "More privacy" upgrade. As it is very difficult to accurately predict the timing of births, we can only confirm the availability of the family suite or a private room upon admission to the hospital.

For pain relief during labour, we offer analgesics and supportive medications such as suppositories, tablets and injections. We also offer a large range of different complementary medical treatments such as homeopathy, acupuncture, essential oils and herbal teas.

Where necessary, the following pain relief treatments can also be administered:

• Spinal, regional anaesthesia and epidurals
• Nitrous oxide (N2O)

• Patient controlled pain relief (Ultiva)

Immediately after delivery or after the caesarean section, we promote bonding and the development of an intimate relationship between parents and baby by encouraging physical closeness, physical warmth and eye contact without undue interruptions.

Immediately after delivery or after the caesarean section, you will be supported by a qualified midwife who will help you start breastfeeding right away.

Your baby will usually be examined by a paediatrician during the 3 days after the birth. The paediatrician will then give you the results of the examination and answer any questions you may have.

It often takes days or even weeks to process the birthing experience and the birthing process. Would you like to clear up any questions or deal with any particular issues? We would be happy to arrange a personal follow-up consultation with our midwives and doctors.

The first few days with your new-born baby are quite unique. With professional baby photography you can capture this special moment forever if you wish.

The baby photographer of our partner company BabySmile regularly visits all new mothers and their babies. At your request, the first unique photos of your new-born child can be taken in a relaxed atmosphere during your stay in the hospital.

As a homecoming present, all parents are presented with a congratulations card featuring a photo of their new-born. If you consent, the photo will also be published in our baby gallery.
